Chicken Stir Fry
One of the simplest recipes that are incredibly satisfying is a stir fry. You can make a stir fry with chicken, pork, beef or without any meat (for Vegetarians). Using one simple wok or a frying pan, a variety of vegetables, some stir fry sauces, a side dish & rice and your great supper is ready.
Ingredients you need:
500 grams of chicken breast (you can cut it into strips or cubes)
You can get fresh vegetables if available or else, 2 cans/tins/packs of oriental style vegetables (usually it includes various veggies like green beans, water chestnuts, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, etc etc etc)
100 to 200 grams (4-8 ounces) of stir fry sauce (salty or sweet is your choice)
4 servings of rice considering 1/4 cup of Basmati rice is one serving
Olive Oil is best but you can always use other oils depending on your taste/preference/choice & health consciousness 😛
Directions for cooking:
Cook the rice on one side by boiling it (you can also use boil in bag rice). Put oil in a frying pan or wok let it get hot than add cut chicken breast, cook moderately & then mix in the fresh/canned vegetables.
Stir frequently with a spoon every few minutes while adding a few spoonful’s of sauce.
Stir fry this for about 10-12 minutes or until it is cooked completely.
Serve on a bed of rice. You can also add bread or Chapatti as a side.

Ham steak is incredibly easy to make and an awesome meal for many people. If you prefer, you can buy a big ham & slice it into ½ to ¾ inch thick steaks or you can just go & buy individually cut ham steaks sold in the grocery stores.
Ingredients you need:
4 Ham Steaks
100 grams (4 ounces) of brown sugar
200 grams (8 ounces) of maple syrup
4 Yams/sweet potatoes (fresh or canned)
Directions for cooking:
Rub 20 grams (1 ounce) of brown sugar into the ham & set it in an oven for about 30 minutes at 425 degrees F.
A few minutes before the ham steak is completely cooked, drizzle some maple syrup on top of the ham steak or else you can always cautiously warm the syrup in a microwave & serve it as you desire.
Also note that Ham steaks go great with yams/sweet potatoes.
You can cook yams/sweet potatoes in an oven with your ham steak, starting them about 15-20 minutes before you begin with the cooking of ham.
